San Fermin, or Adrenaline Rush
Oleg Chukhnov
The Fiesta San Fermines (Fiesta Sanfermines) - held from June 6 to 14 in the quiet capital of Navarre - Pamplona, is one of the most famous festivals in Spain and around the world. It is dedicated to St. Fermin, a medieval bishop who saved the city from a plague epidemic. Sung by Ernest Hemingway in his novel "Fiesta" this holiday attracts many tourists from all over the world. However, the emphasis is now placed on the "encierro" - mass bull races, which are held daily throughout the festivities, bringing unforgettable sensations, adrenaline rush and not always favorable outcome for some "restless" participants of the race.
